Launched in 2017 by screenwriter / producer Pete Abrahams, Hoylake has financed and produced BACKSTABBING FOR BEGINNERS, directed by Per Fly, starring Ben Kingsley and Theo James, released by A24; and BLOOD MONEY, directed by Lucky McKee, starring John Cusack, Willa Fitzgerald, and Ellar Coltrane, released by Saban Films.

 

Currently in development, Pete and Hoylake have a broad range of film, television, and documentary projects with an eclectic group of emerging writers, directors, and producers who are ideally positioned to tap into the ideas, themes, and moods that dominate our cultural conversations. In addition to Hoylake's content development and production, Pete actively pursues opportunities to finance cutting edge entertainment and media companies at the forefront of the rapidly evolving landscapes of technology and fan engagement. 

 

Pete started his career in the mailroom of the Endeavor Talent Agency, and over the course of the years that followed, he’s worked in the studio, network, and independent sectors of entertainment and media on feature films, television series, docuseries, and digital content for numerous companies including Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, Universal Pictures, National Geographic, HGTV, and Discovery Channel. As an educator, Pete has lectured numerous classes and workshops, most recently for UCLA, on a variety of topics that include story development, physical production, and entertainment finance. Pete is a member of the Writers Guild of America and the Producers Guild of America, and he’s active in a diverse array of causes including The Humane Society of the United States and Stand Up To Cancer.
